Born and raised in London, England, Skye developed a passion for Dance and Music at an early age, inspired by her uncle, a professional musician who composed music for film and stage.

Born and raised in London, England, Skye developed a passion for Dance and Music at an early age, inspired by her uncle, a professional musician who composed music for film and stage.

After years of training in Tap, Classical Ballet, Modern and Contemporary Dance she gained her advanced exams with the ISTD and participated in numerous shows and exhibitions in the London area.
In 1999 she gained a First Class Honours degree in Live Arts at the University of Manchester (specialising in Contemporary Dance, Music and Live Arts)

During university her self devised solo performance “Darwin’s Delinquent” toured in London (Jermyn Street Theatre) and Manchester (The Green Room) and was selected for the National Review of Live Arts 2001 in Glasgow, Scotland alongside another 7“emerging artists” from all over the UK. She also participated in many contemporary performances and community arts projects.

After university she was a student at the Margaret Howard Theatre College studying Dance and Musical Theatre for a further three years obtaining a college diploma and gaining professional teaching qualifications with the ISTD in Tap, Ballet and Modern Dance. During this time she played “Effie” in Cabaret Verbotten at the New Hampstead Theatre and participated in numerous variety shows at the London Palladium and Royal Albert Hall. She also taught dance in two London dance schools and continued devising solo contemporary performances in and around the London area. Her Live Art gallery installations were premiered in St Albans Gallery and the Green Room Manchester and two articles on Laban and on one of her dance pieces were published in “Animated” a community dance magazine in Spring 2000 and Autumn 2002.
After moving to Sicily in 2006 she has participated in various cabaret shows at Teatro Nando Greco before it’s closure and has devised solo performances for conferences on the sacred feminine at the University of Catania (Benedettini Campus). She has taught Tap at various schools in Catania and collaborated with other institutions to provide weekend workshops on Rhythm, Body Percussion and Tap dance.

In 2013 she gained her professional diploma in Music Therapy with a vote of 110 elode at the MT Academy, Catania and worked as Music Therapy Assistant in the Institute for the Blind in Catania, for the association Gabriel Marcel and as Music Therapist in some of Catania’s elementary schools. She has always believed in the power of the arts to heal and transform and now is grateful to divide her time working with in various schools in equip with other professional figures and her association Mama Kreis as a music therapist and as Tap Dance teacher in and around Catania.
